Nigeria Civil Service has almost become an institution for old people and probably young people with connections to secure a paycheck. Regardless of your personal values, once you’re in the system, the spirit of sluggishness will surely catch up with you.

10. Punctuality
Government offices open by 8 am, or 9 am depending on the state, but most civil servants resume past the deadline. Even at that, they will still gossip with their colleagues. You begin to ask if these people have tasks to complete for the day. Some can resume at 11 am and write 7:30 am in the attendance book.
