Food blogger, Lisa Faulkner has shared with us her grandma’s juicy Marmalade recipe on her social media page, via Instagram.
For those wondering what “Marmalade” is, it is a fruit preserve made from the juice and peel of citrus fruits boiled with sugar and water.
The well-known version is made from bitter orange, but it is also made from lemons, limes, grapefruits, mandarins, sweet oranges, bergamots, and other citrus fruits, or a combination
INGREDIENTS
1.5kg Seville oranges
1 lemon
3kg granulated sugar
3.6 litres water
Grate the zest off the oranges then cut them in half and squeeze the juice and the lemon
Juice.
Pour into large heavy-bottomed pan.
